Rarely are the terms hilarious storyteller and theological scholar used in the same sentence, much less used to describe the same person…but then again, Lisa Harper is anything but stereotypical! She has been lauded as a gifted communicator, whose writing and speaking overflows with colorful pop culture references that connect the dots between the Bible era and modern life. Her style combines sound scriptural exposition with easy-to relate to anecdotes and comedic wit. She brings the Bible to life, and has the know-how to do it. (A Masters of Theological Studies from Covenant Seminary helps.) The author of multiple books, Lisa spent six years as the director of Focus on the Family’s national women’s ministry followed by six years as the women’s ministry director at a large church. Now she speaks at events all over the world, but it hasn’t gone to her head. “I’m definitely grateful for the opportunities God’s given me,” Lisa says, “but don’t forget, He often uses donkeys and rocks! Lisa and her family of “critters” live in Tennessee.

Francesca Battistelli began writing and performing her own songs at fifteen. Inspired by legendary jazz greats and current contemporaries like John Mayer and Sara Bareilles, this singer/songwriter set out to write pop, soul-infused music that would motivate and encourage listeners of any age. My dream is that people who would never turn on a Christian radio station would maybe hear a song and like it and find the album and make a turn to God.” Francesca’s debut album earned her a Grammy nomination; she has also received nineteen Dove Award nominations (and six wins). Her music has been featured on multiple television shows. Francesca is married to Matthew Goodwin; they have a son, Matthew Elijah and a daughter, Audrey Jane.
