Our time together was a lot of fun. We had table time - not quite as much as last month - but it was valuable nonetheless! Topics of discussion included those moments when we really noticed that our kids are watching us and what we're learning about our sinful behavior through parenting. Good, thought provoking stuff.
It wasn't all serious though, the creative activities gals had a lot of fun planned for us with this month's photo contest. What a crack up to see some of the totally awesome outfits some of us were rockin' in the 80's and 90's. There were several great prizes, all of which we are extremely grateful for. The big winner was Karen Weiand who sported both acid washed, pegged jeans AND a jean jacket complete with "flair" (buttons), a plaid shirt, perm, big bangs, a scrunchie, and braces. That girl was a CATCH! We also heard about the fun craft the ladies have come up with for December - a scarf wreath. Trust me - much cuter than it could ever seem in print. So, if you have extra winter scarves laying around, please bring them with to the next meeting! We still need about 40 more for everyone to be able to make a wreath.Jammies had their annual fire drill while we were meeting. Many thanks to the campus services staff, Jammies volunteers, and the Jammies coordinator Anne Lao for making it go off without a hitch. It's so great to know that our kids are safe and secure while we get a little time to ourselves upstairs.
